Four parts, and they share one network and one managing party.
- IP camera surveillanceSharp images, smart detection and secure storage. Among others i-PRO and Milestone; what you need follows from the number of cameras and the retention period, not from the resolution on the box.
- Video door intercomsSee and speak to visitors, including from your phone. Among others 2N, Fasttel and Robin, which attach to the phone system you already have.
- Access controlCards, tags or codes, blocked immediately when lost. That last point is why it exists: a lost key costs a cylinder, a lost card costs a mouse click.
- Integration with your ITOne network, one managing party, one point of contact. Cameras on their own VLAN, so a camera never becomes a route to your office files.
The GDPR and camera surveillance
Camera surveillance is allowed, but not unconditionally. What has to be right is limited and concrete.
- Visible signageAnyone being filmed should know before they walk into shot. Signage at every entrance is the cheapest measure on this list and the first one asked about.
- A limited retention periodAs a rule of thumb no more than four weeks, or longer while an incident is being handled. We set the period and record why it stands at that number.
- Secured access to footageWho may review, and is that recorded? Footage behind a shared password is in practice footage without access control.
- Documented settingsWe document the configuration, so that when a member of staff or a regulator asks, you can show how it stands rather than recount it.

Yes, through a secured app you can watch live and review. Who is allowed to do so is recorded, because footage without access control is exactly what you do not want.
