Cookie statement
This website sets no cookies. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising network and therefore no cookie banner either. What is loaded from outside our own server is explained below.

A short statement, because there is little to state. We write it down anyway, so you do not have to rely on the absence of a banner.

The short version
The site you are looking at is static. That means fixed pages with text and images, without a login, without a shopping basket and without software watching in the background. No visitor analysis is running, no profile of you is being built and nothing is stored on your device.
Because there is nothing to accept or refuse, you will not see a cookie banner here. A window asking permission for something that does not happen only costs you a click and gives you nothing in return.
There is one nuance, which we set out further down. The page loads two files from external servers: the fonts and the animation library. No cookies are set in the process, but your IP address is technically visible to those parties. That is part of the way the web works, and we would rather mention it than leave it out.
What we do put on your device
One thing is stored, and that is your choice of language. If you pick another language in the navigation, your browser remembers it in local storage under the key itp-lang, so you do not have to choose again on a later visit. If you dismiss the tip that points you to a page in another language, the browser remembers that for the length of your session under itp-tip.
It is not a cookie: the value is never sent to our server and we cannot read it. It stays on your own device and holds nothing but a two-letter language code. Under the cookie rules this counts as strictly necessary functionality, which needs no consent, because it only keeps a preference you set yourself. Clear your browser data and it is gone.
What you will not find here
- No visitor statistics, so no Google Analytics, Matomo or a comparable package.
- No tracking pixels from social networks or advertising platforms.
- No advertising network and no profiling across multiple websites.
- No session recordings, heatmaps or tools that capture your mouse movements.
- No cookie that remembers completed form fields: the form on the quote page passes your message on and stores nothing else on your device.
What a cookie is and which types exist
Useful to know what you are saying yes or no to on other sites. And to be able to check that we are not leaving anything out below.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. On a following visit, that website can read the file again and recognise something: that you are logged in, what was in your shopping basket, or that you are the same visitor as last week.
Alongside cookies there are comparable techniques that serve the same purpose, such as local storage, session storage and what is known as fingerprinting. Of those we use exactly one, and only for your choice of language: what gets stored is described above. We do not use fingerprinting. Wherever cookies are mentioned below, you can take that to cover all storage on your device.
In practice, cookies are divided into three categories. For each category we describe what it does and what the situation is on this site.
Functional cookies
These are needed to make a website work technically: holding a login session, remembering a shopping basket or saving a language choice. No permission has to be requested for this category, because the site does not function without these cookies.
On this site there is exactly one, and that is your choice of language. It is not kept in a cookie but in your browser’s local storage, and it is never sent to our server. Beyond that there is nothing to remember: you do not log in anywhere and there is no session that has to be kept alive.
Analytical cookies
These measure how many visitors a site has, which pages they view and how long they stay. For an owner that is useful information, but it does mean that visitor behaviour is recorded.
We measure nothing. So we do not know how many people read this page, which search term brought them in or where they drop off. That is a deliberate choice for this version of the site.
Marketing cookies
These follow visitors across different websites in order to target advertisements or to compile audiences. Prior permission is always required for this, and this category is the reason cookie banners exist.
We do not place them. We do not advertise from this site, we do not build audiences and we do not share or sell visitor data to advertising parties.
Two files do not come from our own server
No cookies, then, but two connections to the outside world. Below you can read which ones they are, what they are for and which party they come from.

What is visible to those two parties
To retrieve a file, your browser has to connect to the server where that file is stored. During that connection your IP address is technically visible to the receiving party, together with the standard data every browser sends along, such as the type of browser and the page requesting the file. That applies to both of the files above.
Nothing further happens. No cookie is set on your device during those connections, nothing is stored in your browser and no script comes along that follows your behaviour. We receive nothing back either: these parties give us no visitor numbers, no statistics and no way of recognising you.
If you would rather not have those connections either
Then you can use a browser extension that blocks external sources, or a browser that does so by default. The page remains perfectly readable. You will simply see a standard typeface instead of ours, and elements will appear on screen without animation.
If anything changes in the way these two files are loaded, we will update this statement.
What you can set yourself and when this text changes
You do not have to do anything here, but it is good to know where you can find cookie controls and when this statement is no longer accurate.
This statement applies to the current, static website. If we later add visitor statistics, or a contact form that stores your details, this text will no longer be accurate. At that point this statement has to be adjusted and, depending on exactly what is placed, a consent choice has to be added before that technique becomes active.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every browser has settings that let you view, block or delete cookies. You will usually find them under privacy and security. For this site nothing changes if you block everything, because nothing is placed anyway. On other sites blocking can have consequences: you will not stay logged in, for example.
Changes to this statement
If our website or the legislation changes, we will update this text. The date at the top of the page shows when that last happened. There is no archive of older versions online: the text you are reading here is the applicable version.
