Modern Workplace is Microsoft 365, device management and security in one package per employee. The device arrives ready out of the box, the settings come from the management system, and when someone leaves you withdraw access in one action instead of in five places.
Four parts that together are the workplace
Separately they are licences. Together they are a workplace you can hand over.
- Microsoft 365Mail, files and collaboration, with a licence matching what is actually used. Business Premium and E3 differ mainly in security and not in what people see.
- Device management with IntuneThe device enrols with the management system and pulls its settings. Unbox and sign in, no setup day and no image someone maintains by hand.
- Security on the deviceEncryption, updates and protection are on because policy enforces it, not because someone switched it on per device.
- Joining and leaving in one actionA new employee gets access from a profile. A departing one loses it in one go, including on their phone.
How we convert an existing workplace
Three steps, and the first group is deliberately small.
Start with a small group
We convert a handful of workplaces first and let them run for two weeks. What goes wrong goes wrong there and not at two hundred people at once.
Roll out per department
After that it goes department by department, specialist software first. What does not work on a managed device, we know before that department comes up.
Hand over
You get the configuration on paper and access to the management system. What we set up can be read and changed, including by someone other than us.
