What Spectralink makes
Spectralink makes wireless handsets for people who are on their feet all day: care, warehouse, manufacturing and retail. The Versity line runs Android over Wi-Fi and is managed like any other company device; the DECT line covers buildings where Wi-Fi does not reach everywhere or where voice must not depend on the data network.
Why Spectralink, and where it stops
Spectralink is the pick when the handset gets dropped, gets wet and lasts the whole day: the casing is built for that and the battery covers a shift rather than an afternoon. Where it stops is the price per handset, which is a multiple of an ordinary DECT phone; in an office where people sit at desks you are buying something you will not use.
