What Sonim makes
Sonim makes rugged phones for work where an ordinary handset does not survive: construction, industry, emergency services. The devices can be dropped hard, are loud enough to carry over machine noise and can be operated with work gloves on.
Why Sonim, and where it stops
Sonim is the choice when phones get destroyed or replaced yearly: on a building site, in a port, on a breakdown service. Where it stops: these are heavy handsets with a modest camera and screen. Anyone also reading quotations and drawings on the device is better off with a rugged version of an ordinary brand.
