What ESET makes
ESET protects the devices themselves: laptops, servers and mailboxes, managed from a single console. The brand is known for a light footprint, which shows on older machines that otherwise get slow from their own security. Disk encryption and mail protection sit in the same environment.
Why ESET, and where it stops
ESET fits where the machines are not the newest and the security must not get in the way; the footprint is small and the management is manageable without a security team of your own. Where it stops: it is protection on the device, not a monitored service. Anyone who wants alerts followed up needs someone for that.
